Hi there – my name is Ian Purdie and I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and how I came to be involved in internet marketing.
I’ll keep it as brief as possible, but I have packed a lot into my nearly 75 years.
I’m an Australian and I spent all my working life there, serving in a range of community services, predominantly those involving services for people with disabilities. Trained as a social worker but subsequently moved into management in a variety of settings. I spent the latter years of my working life as the CEO of a not-for-profit organization with 300 employees, including 240 people with disabilities.
Than came retirement at the end of the year 2000.
After a few years I decided to investigate the possibility of earning money on the internet. Like many in retirement, I found that if you really wanted to enjoy life than supplementing your retirement income was necessary.
Well that didn’t turn out to be the smartest move I have ever made – at least not then anyway.
I spent money I could not really afford on buying a whole host of internet marketing
products – ebooks, software, videos, reports – most of which simply cluttered up my hard drive – unused. The year was 2004.
My lovely French-born wife, Joelle, became cross with me, because I was wasting money.
Then fate intervened…
In late 2006 we decided to move to France to provide support to Joelle’s ageing parents and also to our daughter Isabelle and our two grand-daughters, Natasha and Tiffanie, also living in France.
That was the start of another life adventure. We sold our house in Australia and purchased a property in Normandy and turned it into a bed-and breakfast. What an experience! A lot of hard work but we met a wonderful range of interesting people.

Meanwhile my flirtation with internet marketing was quietly bubbling away in the background. I had stopped spending, but I was convinced there was a low-cost way to make money online and so I kept digging away, looking for solutions.
To cut a long story short, I formed an association with two other marketers, Ray (USA) and Steve (Canada) and we founded the BlueRam Group. We also discovered, what I had always been looking for – a wonderful resource that helps you build an online business for a fraction of the cost of buying ebooks videos and software, designing a website, finding a web host and getting an auto-responder- all necessary equipment for anyone wanting to
make money online.

It’s called Site Build It (SBI)All I can say is that what it offers is just amazing. It’s an all-in-one package that helps people to build an online business. It’s even on the curriculum of some universities in the USA.
BlueRam group launched our first business site in early January 2011 and we now have a 160 page site that is rapidly building up traffic and will soon net us a profitable return on our investment. The site is on freshwater tropical fish (partner Steve is an expert in this field).
Soon we will make a start on our second SBI site, once we have completed our market research.
The site you are on now is not an SBI site. I had started it before we discovered SBI and I have a strong emotional attachment to it and I’m building it using the SBI principles.
